Hi there, I'm Harshi
A product designer based in Mumbai,
designing digital experiences that bridge
people, product, and purpose.
I'm currently the founding Product Designer at PhotoPhlo, a photo-sharing app built for photographers to network meaningfully. I'm leading research, strategy, and design as we build the mobile app from the ground up.
My people-first approach is shaped by an MFA in Interaction Design from the School of Visual Arts, NYC, and over four years of experience designing across healthcare, B2B platforms, consumer mobile apps, and social impact projects.
Before grad school, I spent two formative years at Echostream, a design studio in Sikkim nestled in the Indian Himalayas. I designed learning experiences for children and co-developed product strategies to support artisan livelihoods.
Working alongside grassroots communities instilled three important design principles early on, which still shape my work:
1. Context shapes the solution
Designs rarely replicate cleanly across people or places.
2. Users are unlike me
Listening comes before solutions.
3. The launch is not the finish line
Results show up fast; impact takes time.
